These are just some of the street and square names in my neighbourhood of Anderlecht where i have been living for nearly 20 years now. Curious about the origin of these names, I decided to accompany my postman on his daily walk to find out more.
Bernard, who is hard of hearing, has been a postman for 40 years. He is passionate about his job and about music. He accompanied me on my journey around Anderlecht.
During my walk, l asked the locals to ‘sing a note’ and to give me their impressions of one of the words on the list of streets I had chosen. I made sound recordings, photographed and filmed these moments.
